2022 In-Store Registration At
The Gasparilla Distance Classic Association welcomes DICK’s Sporting Goods as the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend’s ‘Exclusive Sporting Goods Retailer’ and In-Store Registration Location. In-Store Registration at the DICK’S Sporting Goods locations listed below will take place on Saturday (10 am – 5 pm) and Sunday (10 am – 5 pm), January 15-16, 2022.
During In-Store Registration, you may register for the 2022 Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K, 2021 Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon & 8K and on a limited basis (see below), the 2022 Michelob Ultra Challenge, 2022 Michelob Ultra Pure Gold Challenge, 2022 Stella Solstic Challenge, and 2022 Bud Light Seltzer Challenge. (CASH OR CHECK ONLY).
In-Store Offline Registration Fees:
Please note that due to the administrative costs associated with processing Offline 2022 PGDC Registrations, a $3 Processing Fee must be added to the Total Registration Amount Due – if payment does not reflect the additional $3 Processing Fee, the entry form and payment will be returned.
ATTENTION WALKERS! Though the 5K is the only PGDC Race Weekend event that offers a dedicated walk, the Kashi 5K Walk, Walkers are welcome in all PGDC Race Weekend Events. Because of road closure permits, a 16-minute per mile pace must be maintained. For event specific Walker Information, please visit the 15K, 5K, Half Marathon & 8K Runner Info pages.
In-Store Registration Fees – Entry Fees must be paid with cash or a check. Credit Cards will NOT be accepted.

Because so many look forward to registering during In-Store Registration at DICK’S Sporting Goods (and getting their race shirts ahead of Race Weekend), the Gasparilla Distance Classic Association will offer Challenge Registration during In-Store Registration at DICK’S Sporting Goods.
Each of the below DICK’S Locations will offer the following on a limited basis:

- Bud Light Seltzer Challenge $145

2022 Rules and Requirements
Registration Waiver must be signed – the waiver can be found at the bottom of 2021 PGDC In-Store Registration Form (if the participant is under 18 years old, parent or guardian must sign the release). Age Requirements:
- Half-Marathon: At least 12 years old (18 yrs & Under Require a Parental or Guardian Signature)
- 15K: No age restrictions
- 8K: No age restrictions
- 5K: No age restrictions
Race Numbers and ChronoTrack B-Tags are required for all races. Refunds and/or transfers of registration are not allowed in the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic 15K & 5K, Publix Gasparilla Half Marathon & 8K, Michelob Ultra Challenge, Michelob Ultra Pure Gold, Stella Solstice Challenge, and/or Bud Light Seltzer Challenge. If you are unable to run the race you registered for due to medical reasons, you may downgrade to a shorter distance. There is no charge for downgrading, however, you will not receive a refund for the difference in entry fee. If you require a race change, you MUST contact the race office in writing via email by Friday, February 11, 2022.
PLEASE NOTE however, from January 14, 2022 – February 11, 2022, there will be a $15 fee for making a change in registration. NO changes will be made over Race Weekend. If you participate in a race you are NOT registered for, you will NOT be eligible for overall and age group awards. If you need to make a change in your registration, please submit a request to the GDCA office via email: registration@tampabayrun.com. Race registration changes will not be made over the phone.
PLEASE NOTE: you must register in person during In-Store Registration hours to receive your T-Shirt and Publix Gasparilla Reusable Booty Bag prior to Race Weekend. If you register by mail or online, your T-Shirt and Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Reusable Booty Bag WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE for pick-up until the 2022 8 On Your Side Health & Fitness Expo being held at the Tampa Convention Center -East Hall on Friday, February 25, 10am – 8pm and on Saturday, February 26, 6am – 3pm.
