Rooms To Go

Volunteer Registration Is Open!

The Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend Events would not be what they are today

About Us-

Established in 2000 by a generous group of women from the Tampa Bay Area, Ye Royal Krewe of Charlotte de Berry was formed as a philanthropic band of wenches who not only participate in parades, but also donate time and talent to local and Bay Area causes.

Ye Royal Krewe of Charlotte de Berry is an all-female Krewe of approximately fifty members and growing every year. We wear female pirate attire that spans centuries of changing fashion, representing wenches of all ages and ethnicities.

The Krewe of Italia is a not-for-profit organization whose main purpose is to promote and preserve Italian culture and heritage, as well as support the mission of the Italian Club of Tampa. We are based at the historic L’Unione Italiana (Italian Club) in Ybor City, Tampa, FL. Most of our fundraising efforts go directly to the Italian Club for historical preservation of the building, culture, and traditions, as well as support for the logistical operations of the Krewe.

Krewe of Italia provides social opportunities through Krewe-related activities, as well as Italian Club activities, to promote an element of camaraderie for all its members. Krewe of Italia participates in most of the Tampa Bay Area parades, including the Children’s Gasparilla Parade, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla’s Parade of Pirates, Krewe of Sant’ Yago’s Knight Parade, Rough Riders St. Patrick’s Parade, and others. In addition to parades, The Krewe hosts three bocce tournaments and other social events throughout the year.

Hello!  Please allow us to introduce ourselves. First, you’ll perhaps notice the play on words in our name. The Tampa Bay area can certainly be regarded as “Paradise,” but change the spelling a bit, and you have a “krewe” of sharply dressed Bay Area professional men and women who pose as fancy gamblers and saloon showgirls riding aboard a riverboat float through Bay Area parades, by the name “Krewe of Pair O’ Dice.”

The Krewe was founded in 1995 by a family of three Tampa native sisters and their husbands, Marlene & Barry Alspach, Yvonne & Scott Painton, and Nancy & Benny Gomez. These Founders had a vision of a “krewe” of their family members and friends participating in some of Tampa’s most exciting events, having as much fun as we can with our boots on, and making a contribution to our community. Within six months of that vision, the Krewe debuted as “Casino Dealers” aboard a leased riverboat float in the 1996 Gasparilla Parade of The Pirates and several other parades that followed that year. This family knows how to get things done!

The Krewe of the Rising Phoenix is made up of professional females who support women & girls in the Tampa Bay community.

As true phoenixes, we lift each other up from the ashes and thrive on empowering women in business and in all life events. We take pride in leading the next generation of girls to become strong, independent, and professional women. We are there to provide opportunities when it feels like there are none.

We are goodwill representatives in the community & strive to be bold women who can overcome any challenge.

While individually we have all had to reset, restart, pivot, and/or adapt…

Together… WE RISE
